Salim Khan Admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, Health Bulletin to Be Released Wednesday Morning

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of actor Salman Khan, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after his health reportedly deteriorated on Tuesday. He has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and his condition is currently stable but under close medical supervision.

Dr. Jalil Parkar, who is associated with the case, confirmed the development and said, “Yes, it is true that Salim Khan, who is an icon in his own right, was admitted to the ICU at Lilavati Hospital at around 8:30 a.m. He was brought to the emergency department by family doctor Dr. Sandeep Chopra. Immediate treatment was initiated, and he was later shifted to the ICU.”

He further stated that a team of specialist doctors is monitoring his condition. The medical team includes neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Vineet Ahluwalia.

Respecting the family’s request for privacy, no additional details were shared on Tuesday. However, an official health bulletin will be released at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the family’s consent, while ensuring complete confidentiality of the patient.

Reports suggest that Salim Khan was experiencing swelling in his body, following which doctors decided to keep him under observation.

Upon hearing about his health condition, family members rushed to the hospital. Salman Khan was seen arriving at the facility, reportedly leaving his shoot at Mud Island midway. His daughters Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, along with actor Aayush Sharma, were also present at the hospital.

Salim Khan is regarded as one of the most influential screenwriters in Hindi cinema. Though he initially came to Mumbai with aspirations of becoming an actor, he eventually turned to screenwriting after facing limited success in acting. He went on to create cinematic history with his powerful storytelling and scripts.
