IPL 2026: Rishabh Pant and Arjun Tendulkar Build Strong Friendship at LSG Camp

Lucknow

Young cricketer Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, is continuing to work hard to establish himself in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League. For the 2026 season, Arjun will represent Lucknow Super Giants after previously playing for Mumbai Indians.

Ahead of the new season, Arjun is focusing on making a strong impact and will be working under captain Rishabh Pant. LSG recently shared a practice session video in which Pant and Arjun were seen interacting warmly, highlighting the growing friendship between the two players.

In the video, Pant appeared surprised when he asked about the weight of Arjun’s bat. Arjun revealed that his bat weighs 1220 grams. Curious about the advantage of using a heavier bat, Pant asked him about it, to which Arjun replied that even a slight touch with such a bat can send the ball flying. He also mentioned that his father Sachin Tendulkar used bats weighing around 1310–1315 grams, while he prefers bats weighing above 1200 grams.

Since the age difference between Arjun Tendulkar and Rishabh Pant is minimal, the two quickly developed a friendly bond in the LSG camp. In the video, Pant is also heard telling Arjun that he would always be there for him whenever needed.

Pant further praised Arjun’s dedication, noting that he joined training preparations with Yuvraj Singh just a day after his wedding in order to prepare for the upcoming season.

Arjun Tendulkar, a left-arm fast bowler and left-handed top-order batter, currently represents Goa cricket team in domestic cricket. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders.

So far, the 26-year-old has played five IPL matches, scoring 13 runs in one innings and taking three wickets. With a fresh start at Lucknow Super Giants, Arjun will be aiming to make a bigger impact in IPL 2026.
