Meenakshi Seshadri Revisits 33-Year-Old Song ‘Lashkara’, Calls Experience With Chiranjeevi Memorable

Actress Meenakshi Seshadri has revisited memories of the iconic 33-year-old song “Lashkara” and shared a nostalgic video on social media, recalling her experience of working with South superstar Chiranjeevi.

The entertainment industry often sees songs and films that remain etched in the hearts of audiences even decades later, and when artists revisit those moments, it becomes special for fans.

Meenakshi Seshadri posted a video on Instagram in which she is seen dressed in a black outfit, performing to the tune of her popular song “Lashkara”. Her graceful dance moves and expressions take viewers back to the golden era of Bollywood.

Sharing the video, she expressed gratitude for working with producer N.N. Sippy, calling him one of her favourite collaborators. She mentioned films such as “Meri Jung”, “Aage Se Khelenge”, and “Aaj Ka Gunda Raaj” as part of her association with him.

She also described her experience of working with Chiranjeevi as outstanding, noting that since he is an excellent dancer himself, the film featured several dance sequences featuring the two of them.

Recalling the song “Lashkara”, Meenakshi said it was a fun track shot in the beautiful valleys of Ooty, adding that the memories of the shoot still remain fresh in her mind even after so many years.

The song “Lashkara” was released 33 years ago as part of the 1992 film “Aaj Ka Gunda Raaj”, directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and produced by N.N. Sippy.

The film featured Chiranjeevi, Meenakshi Seshadri, and Raj Babbar in lead roles. It was an action-drama centered around crime and corruption and was well received by audiences at the time.
