Sonali Kulkarni Launches ‘Half Ticket Full Nagrik’ Podcast, Aims to Amplify Children’s Voices

Mumbai

Renowned Marathi film industry actress Sonali Kulkarni has launched a new podcast show titled ‘Half Ticket Full Nagrik’. The show aims to provide a platform for children and young individuals to express their thoughts and bring their perspectives to the forefront of society.

Speaking at the launch, Sonali Kulkarni said, “I have always been fascinated by the ideas and perspectives of the younger generation and children. They are incredibly creative and possess a unique way of looking at the world. They express themselves fearlessly, and their thoughts carry a sense of innocence and honesty that is often missing in adults. That is why their voices deserve to be heard seriously.”

She further added, “In society, it has become a common habit to overlook children’s opinions when making decisions—whether related to family matters, travel plans, or financial issues. Often, they are excluded simply because they are young. This approach can gradually lead to mental pressure and emotional neglect among children, which needs to change.”

Kulkarni emphasized that children are not just the future but also an important part of the present. “They bring happiness, balance, and fresh energy to society. It is essential to preserve their innocence while also giving them the right to participate in decisions and express their views. With this vision, I have designed this podcast as a unique conversation platform,” she said.

She explained that each episode of the show will begin with a discussion involving an adult—such as a parent, teacher, or psychologist—to provide a balanced perspective on the topic. This will be followed by the main conversation with children, referred to as ‘Half Ticket’ in the show. These children, on their journey to becoming ‘Full Citizens,’ will openly share their thoughts and ideas.
