In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, many people experience constant fatigue, low energy, and weakness throughout the day. While these symptoms are often ignored as routine tiredness, health experts warn that they should not be taken lightly.
According to the National Health Mission, persistent fatigue may sometimes be linked to liver-related issues. The liver acts as the body’s natural detoxification system, removing harmful substances and helping maintain overall health and energy levels. When the liver does not function properly, symptoms such as weakness, tiredness, and lack of energy can begin to appear.
Experts say that a healthy liver is essential for a healthy body. Doctors recommend getting a liver function blood test if fatigue continues for a long time. Making small but important lifestyle changes at the right time can help prevent liver-related complications.
The liver performs several vital functions in the body. It helps digest food, stores nutrients, removes toxins, and strengthens the immune system. When the liver becomes overburdened, its efficiency decreases, which can lead to exhaustion and low stamina.
Health experts advise people not to ignore warning signs such as waking up feeling tired, experiencing breathlessness during simple tasks, or frequently feeling low on energy during the day. These may be early symptoms of liver dysfunction.
To keep the liver healthy, experts recommend following simple and effective habits:
- Eat a balanced and nutritious diet rich in green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lentils.
- Avoid excessive sugar, refined flour, and processed foods.
- Drink enough water. Consuming at least 8–10 glasses daily helps flush toxins out of the body.
- Exercise regularly. Walking, yoga, or any physical activity for 30–45 minutes a day helps keep the liver active and healthy.
- Stay away from junk food, oily meals, and alcohol, as they can seriously harm liver health.
- Maintain healthy lifestyle habits such as sleeping early, waking up early, and managing stress through meditation and pranayama.
By adopting these healthy practices, people can support better liver function and improve their overall energy and well-being.
