Bollywood superstar Salman Khan expressed strong displeasure over the behavior of paparazzi outside a hospital and later shared a series of emotional posts on social media, warning photographers against crossing personal boundaries during sensitive situations.
The actor reportedly visited a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday night to meet someone. While entering the hospital premises, Salman calmly posed for photographers. However, while leaving, several paparazzi allegedly started shouting his name and even mentioned his upcoming film Matrubhoomi loudly to grab his attention, which visibly upset the actor.
In a series of four posts shared on Wednesday morning, Salman voiced his frustration over the incident and questioned the insensitivity shown during personal and emotional moments.
In his first post, Salman wrote that it deeply hurt him to see members of the media trying to “enjoy his pain” while he was at the hospital. He also mentioned that he had always supported journalists and photographers throughout his career and ensured they were treated with respect.
In another strongly worded message, the actor said that if someone wanted to profit from another person’s grief or difficult moments, they should at least maintain silence and dignity instead of turning it into entertainment. He emphasized that “this is not a movie scene” and questioned whether getting a picture was more important than someone’s life.
Salman further warned paparazzi not to repeat such behavior in the future and asked them to imagine how they would feel if a similar situation happened with one of their own family members in a hospital.
In his final post, the actor added a stern warning, saying that although he is now 60 years old, he has not forgotten how to fight for himself. He also stated that even if he were sent to jail, he would continue to stand firm.
The posts quickly went viral on social media, with several celebrities and fans extending support to the actor. Personalities including Rakhi Sawant and social media influencer Nagma Mirajkar reacted to Salman’s posts and supported his stand on privacy and respect.
The incident has once again sparked debate around celebrity privacy and the limits of paparazzi culture in India.
