Akanksha Puri Shines as Meetu Punjabi in Inspector Avinash 2, Calls the Role Emotionally Challenging

Crime-action web series Inspector Avinash has been generating strong buzz on OTT platforms, and actress Akanksha Puri is receiving praise for her powerful performance as “Meetu Punjabi” in the second season of the show.

In the series, Akanksha portrays a dancer who later becomes a police informant, a layered and emotionally intense role that has struck a chord with audiences on social media.

Speaking about the character, Akanksha revealed that she had been waiting for a role that would challenge her as an actor. She described “Meetu Punjabi” as fearless, emotionally complex, and mentally strong.

The actress said the role pushed her beyond her comfort zone and allowed her to discover a stronger side of herself. According to Akanksha, portraying the character required deep emotional understanding and commitment, making it one of the most demanding performances of her career so far.

Akanksha also praised her co-star Randeep Hooda for his dedication and honesty toward acting. She shared that working alongside him inspired her to perform with greater focus and sincerity in every scene.

She added that Randeep brings complete truthfulness to his performances, which naturally motivates fellow actors to immerse themselves more deeply into their roles.

Director Neerraj Pathak also spoke highly of Randeep Hooda’s commitment to the craft, saying his dedication has raised expectations from other actors as well.

During the interaction, Neerraj Pathak fondly remembered late actor Irrfan Khan and recalled their long professional association dating back to their Doordarshan days. He mentioned that he had once promised Irrfan that he would cast him whenever he directed a film.

Pathak later fulfilled that promise in the film Right Yaaa Wrong, which featured both Sunny Deol and Irrfan Khan.

With gripping storytelling and intense performances, Inspector Avinash 2 continues to attract viewers, while Akanksha Puri’s portrayal of “Meetu Punjabi” is emerging as one of the highlights of the series.
