On the occasion of International Women’s Day, leaders across India extended greetings and highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment in building a progressive society. Droupadi Murmu and Nitish Kumar praised the strength and contributions of women, emphasizing that their empowerment is essential for the nation’s development.
President Murmu: “Empowered Women Are the Foundation of a Progressive Nation”
President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her wishes to citizens and stressed the vital role of educated and self-reliant women in nation-building. In a message shared on the social media platform X, she said that empowered women form the strongest foundation of a progressive country.
The President highlighted that women today are excelling across multiple sectors and demonstrating leadership and courage in every field. She also called for a collective commitment from society to ensure that every woman lives with dignity, safety, and equal opportunities.
CM Nitish Kumar Highlights Women’s Role in Development
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also extended greetings to women across the state and the country. He reiterated his government’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and creating opportunities for their growth.
Kumar said that the contribution of women is crucial for the overall development of any state or nation. He added that the Bihar government continues to work toward improving women’s safety, education, and socio-economic empowerment.
