Madhoo Delighted to Work with Manoj Bajpayee, Says Governor Fulfilled Her Long-Held Wish

 Actress Madhoo will soon be seen in the upcoming financial thriller Governor. Ahead of the film’s release, she shared her experience of working with co-star Manoj Bajpayee and recalled her first meeting with the acclaimed actor.

Speaking to IANS, Madhoo revealed that her association with Manoj Bajpayee dates back to the 1990s. Recalling their first interaction, she said that Manoj had once interviewed her for a Doordarshan program. Although they met during that occasion, she never imagined that they would one day share screen space in a feature film.

Madhoo said that she has been a longtime admirer of Manoj Bajpayee’s acting. Whenever she watched him perform on screen, she often wondered how exciting it would be to work alongside him. What started as a wish has now become a reality through Governor, fulfilling a dream she had cherished for years.

She further shared that signing the film brought her immense happiness, especially because it gave her the opportunity to collaborate with Manoj Bajpayee.

Directed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar, Governor features Manoj Bajpayee, Madhoo, Adah Sharma, and Naushad Mohammed Kunju in key roles. The film has been produced under the banner of Sunshine Pictures and is backed by producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

According to reports, the film is inspired by events surrounding India’s economic crisis of the 1990s and presents a gripping financial thriller narrative.

Earlier, Manoj Bajpayee had also spoken about his role in the film. He revealed that he was extremely careful about the language and manner of speech of his character. The actor stated that he wanted to avoid any linguistic inaccuracies and therefore worked extensively on his dialogues and diction. He believes that accurately portraying the culture behind a character’s language is essential. With this approach, he has tried to bring authenticity, depth, and balance to his performance in Governor.
