Three Associates of Notorious Rahul Singh Gang Arrested with Illegal Weapons in Ranchi

Ranchi. Ranchi Police have foiled a suspected criminal conspiracy in the city and arrested three associates of the notorious Rahul Singh gang with illegal weapons. The operation was carried out near Birsa Munda Airport.

According to police sources, the Senior Superintendent of Police received information that members of the gang were planning to exchange weapons in the Jagannathpur police station area and create panic among local traders by carrying out a firing incident. Acting on the tip-off, a special team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar Mishra.

The team laid a siege near the southern boundary wall of the airport, where two suspects were apprehended. Based on information obtained during interrogation, a third accused was also arrested.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Pankaj Kumar alias Sonu Sharma and Riyansh Singh alias Swatantra alias RDX, both residents of Dhurwa, and Ashwini Kumar Parvata alias Katappa alias Johnny, a resident of Patratu in Ramgarh district.

Police stated that Ashwini Kumar is an active member of the gang and is accused of arranging weapons and ammunition, as well as collecting mobile numbers of traders to send threatening messages.

During the raid, police recovered one country-made pistol, two magazines, 15 live cartridges, four mobile phones, and one motorcycle from the accused. All seized items have been confiscated and legal proceedings are underway.

A case has been registered at Jagannathpur police station, and further investigation is in progress. Police are now working to trace other members of the gang, identify the weapons supply chain, and uncover possible accomplices. Officials said that the entire network will be exposed based on interrogation and technical investigation.

Authorities have reiterated that the crackdown on organized crime in the state capital will continue.
