Actress Shabana Azmi extended warm wishes to her brother, cinematographer and filmmaker Baba Azmi, and sister-in-law Tanvi Azmi on their 41st wedding anniversary. The couple celebrated the special milestone on June 18.
Taking to social media platform X, Shabana shared a beautiful photograph of Baba and Tanvi Azmi. In the picture, the couple can be seen smiling warmly as they pose for the camera.
Alongside the photo, Shabana wrote, “Happy 41st Wedding Anniversary Tanvi and Baba. Stay blessed, stay happy, lots of love and prayers.”
Baba Azmi is one of Hindi cinema’s renowned cinematographers and filmmakers. He has worked as a cinematographer on several successful films, including Mr. India, Tezaab, Beta, Dil, Pukar and Ishq Vishk.
Tanvi Azmi has enjoyed a long and successful acting career, featuring in several acclaimed projects, including Akele Hum Akele Tum, Bajirao Mastani, Thappad and Tribhanga.
Tanvi received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance in Bajirao Mastani, where she portrayed the mother of Ranveer Singh‘s character.
Baba Azmi and Shabana Azmi are the children of celebrated poet and lyricist Kaifi Azmi. Shabana frequently organises literary and cultural events to honour her father’s legacy by reciting his poetry and writings.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Shabana Azmi is regarded as one of India’s finest actresses. In her personal life, she is married to renowned screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar.
