The 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival has officially begun, and like last year, actress Alia Bhatt grabbed attention with her striking appearance. On Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram to share a series of pictures, expressing her excitement about being at Cannes 2026.
Despite the elaborate design, Alia kept her overall look minimal yet regal. She opted for subtle makeup, giving her a fresh and radiant appearance.
Sharing the images, Alia captioned her post simply: “Cannes 2026.”
As soon as she posted the pictures, fans and celebrities flooded the comments section with praise. From general users to members of the film fraternity, everyone admired her look. Neha Dhupia and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni reacted with heart emojis, while Karan Johar commented, “You look so beautiful, my darling child.”
Alia’s mother and actress Soni Razdan also praised her, writing, “You look very beautiful, my child.” Actresses Sharvari and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor called her look “stunning.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt has teamed up with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the upcoming film Love and War. The film will also star her husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal. It is reportedly inspired by the classic Bollywood film Sangam, which featured Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 21, 2027.
Additionally, Alia will be seen in Alpha, a women-led spy thriller produced by Yash Raj Films. The film also stars Sharvari Wagh in a key role, along with Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
