Udaipur. The 10-day flower exhibition being held at Fateh Sagar Lake has become a major attraction for city residents and tourists alike. Organized by the District Administration and the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) with the co-sponsorship of Hindustan Zinc, the flower show was inaugurated by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria.
With the commencement of the flower exhibition, the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake have come alive with vibrant colors and rare varieties of flowers. Even on the second day of the exhibition, a large number of local residents as well as domestic and international tourists were seen enjoying the floral displays. The beautifully decorated lakeside has transformed into a lively and visually captivating space.
Along with the flower exhibition, the stalls set up by Hindustan Zinc have also emerged as a major point of attraction. Visitors are showing keen interest in the company’s EcoZen products as well as items made by Sakhi women under its CSR initiatives. Products from Sakhi groups such as Daichi, Upaya, and Goyam Dairy are being widely appreciated by visitors.
The stalls feature a wide range of products including pickles, snacks, spices, pulses, garments, fabric-based items, Ajrakh-printed textiles and accessories, along with dairy products from Goyam. In addition, live demonstrations of traditional block printing and the traditional Bilona method of making ghee have also become major attractions for visitors.
The flower show is not only enhancing the beauty of the city but is also providing a strong platform for local products, women empowerment, and traditional craftsmanship. The exhibition at Fateh Sagar Lake is gradually becoming a memorable experience for tourists and residents alike.
