Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah will be seen portraying legendary industrialist J. R. D. Tata in the upcoming web series Made in India – A Titan Story, which is based on the inspiring journey of one of India’s most trusted consumer brands, Titan Company.
The trailer of the series was recently released, offering a glimpse into the story of how the dream of creating an Indian watch brand evolved into a major success story. The series is based on author Vinay Kamath’s acclaimed book, Titan – India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand.
Speaking about his role, Naseeruddin Shah said that JRD Tata’s most remarkable quality was his calm confidence, which inspired people to think beyond limitations and dream big.
He said, “What made JRD Tata truly special was his ability to recognize talent and encourage people to move forward. Such patience and trust are rarely seen today. He made people feel that they could achieve far more than they imagined.”
The actor further stated that Made in India – A Titan Story is not merely the story of a company or brand, but also a story of faith, hard work, and courage.
He added, “People are often hesitant to trust new ideas because success is not immediately visible. But this story shows that if one continues to believe in an idea and works consistently towards it, it can transform into something extraordinary. Playing JRD Tata has been an immensely fulfilling experience for me.”
The series also stars Jim Sarbh as renowned businessman Xerxes Desai. Other prominent cast members include Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Namita Dubey, Lakshvir Saran, and Kaveri Seth.
Sharing his thoughts about the project, Jim Sarbh said that Xerxes Desai was someone who dared to think differently and imagined possibilities that very few could envision during that time.
He said, “What makes this show special is that it is not only about business and success, but also about human emotions and struggles. It beautifully captures the power of patience, hard work, and believing in one’s dreams.”
The series has been written by Karan Vyas and directed by Robbie Grewal. It has been produced by Almighty Motion Pictures.
Made in India – A Titan Story will premiere on Amazon MX Player on June 3, 2026.
