Renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam has shared a cherished memory from his family album with fans, offering a rare glimpse of three generations together in a single frame.
The singer took to Instagram to post a decades-old photograph featuring his mother, grandmother, and sister Teesha Nigam seated inside an auditorium. The most striking aspect of the image is that it captures three generations of the family together, making it a treasured memory for the Nigam family.
In the front row, Sonu’s mother and grandmother can be seen sitting alongside his sister Teesha Nigam, who is affectionately known as “Tinni” within the family.
The photograph was taken during the shooting of the video for the first music album of Sonu’s father, Agam Kumar Nigam.
Sharing the image, Sonu wrote, “Mom, Nani and Tinni – three generations together. It was a time when my father, Agam Kumar Nigam, was shooting a video for his first music album… I was also a buyer.”
Agam Kumar Nigam was a respected singer who performed numerous stage shows across the country and carved a distinct identity in the music industry. He played a significant role in introducing Sonu Nigam to the world of music from an early age.
According to reports, Sonu often accompanied his father to musical performances during his childhood. Those experiences helped him understand and appreciate music, eventually paving the way for his successful career in the industry.
During the 1990s, Sonu Nigam delivered several memorable Bollywood songs, including “Achha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyar Ka,” “Mujhse Juda Hokar,” “Ek Din Kahin,” “Gori Gori,” “O Humsafar,” “Panchhi Nadiyan Pawan Ke Jhonke,” “Ab Mujhe Raat Din,” and “Yeh Dil Deewana.”
Apart from singing, Sonu Nigam also established a strong presence on television by hosting several music-based reality shows and providing a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talent.
