The 55th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 season will see Punjab Kings take on Delhi Capitals on Monday at HPCA Stadium, starting at 7:30 PM IST. The match is extremely important for Punjab Kings, as they must win to stay alive in the playoff race. Historically, contests between the two teams have been closely fought.
Looking at the head-to-head record, the two sides have faced each other 36 times in IPL history. Punjab Kings have won 18 matches, while Delhi Capitals have emerged victorious in 17 encounters. One match ended without a result.
In their previous meeting, Punjab Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets. It will now be interesting to see whether Punjab can maintain their winning momentum against Delhi or if the Capitals can bounce back strongly.
