International Yoga Day 2026 : Health Is Everything, Jackie Shroff and Sonu Nigam Share Special Fitness Messages

New Delhi:

Awareness campaigns for International Yoga Day 2026 have gained momentum across the country. As part of the initiative, the Ministry of AYUSH shared videos of actor Jackie Shroff and singer Sonu Nigam on social media platform X, urging people to make yoga a part of their daily routine and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

In the first video shared by the Ministry, Jackie Shroff highlighted the importance of good health in his trademark style. Speaking to the media, he said, “Yoga Day is coming. Health is everything; otherwise, nobody will even ask about you. Focus on your breathing and plant trees. That’s it.”

Sharing the video, the Ministry of AYUSH wrote, “Health is everything. With actor Jackie Shroff’s candid and honest message, let us become a part of International Yoga Day. His simple yet powerful mantra is to focus on your breath, plant trees, and help build a fitter nation. When we are healthy, we can accomplish everything. Let us reconnect with nature and yoga for a stronger, healthier, and more energetic future.”

The Ministry also shared a video featuring renowned singer Sonu Nigam, in which he spoke about his personal journey with yoga.

In the video, Sonu Nigam said, “I started learning yoga in 2004. That is when I realized that yoga is not just physical exercise; it also awakens the soul. I request everyone to make yoga an important part of their lives. Yoga 365—practice yoga every day.”

Along with the video, the Ministry wrote, “Yoga is not merely a way to stay physically fit; it is an exercise that awakens your soul. Sonu Nigam’s personal journey is an example of how yoga can gradually become an integral part of life.” The Ministry appealed to people to incorporate yoga into their daily lives and practice it throughout the year.

This year’s International Yoga Day theme is ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’. The theme aims to convey that yoga is not limited to fitness alone but is also an effective way to remain healthy, active, and mentally strong as people age.

Experts believe that regular yoga practice helps reduce stress, improves flexibility, and enhances mental well-being and emotional balance.
