Udaipur Weather Update: City Receives Continuous Rainfall for Two Days

Over the past two days, Udaipur has been experiencing continuous rainfall, bringing much-needed relief from the recent dry spell but also causing minor disruptions across parts of the city. The persistent showers have transformed the City of Lakes into a scenic paradise, with lakes like Fateh Sagar, Pichola, and Swaroop Sagar brimming with fresh water and the surrounding hills covered in lush greenery.

According to local weather updates, light to moderate rain has been recorded since early Monday, with occasional heavy spells during the afternoons and late evenings. The Udaipur weather over the last 48 hours has remained cloudy and humid, with daytime temperatures averaging between 23°C and 27°C, while nighttime temperatures have dipped to around 20°C.

The continuous rainfall has affected some parts of the city, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas and slower traffic movement in busy zones such as Surajpole, Hiran Magri, and Chetak Circle. However, residents have largely welcomed the showers, as they have significantly improved air quality and enhanced the beauty of Udaipur’s famous lakes and gardens.

Meteorologists attribute this spell to a low-pressure system active over parts of southern Rajasthan. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the city may continue to see light to moderate rainfall for another day before conditions gradually improve.

Tourists visiting Udaipur during this rainy stretch have been treated to mist-covered Aravalli hills and cool breezes, offering a perfect backdrop for photography and sightseeing — though travel plans might need minor adjustments due to wet conditions.

Overall, the last two days of rain have rejuvenated Udaipur’s environment, marking a refreshing turn in weather as the region transitions toward the post-monsoon season.
