
Mussoorie: Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav has begun a new chapter in his personal life after helping India national cricket team win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The left-arm spinner tied the knot with his childhood friend Vanshika Chadha in a traditional ceremony held on Saturday in the scenic hill town of Mussoorie in Uttarakhand.
Several prominent cricket personalities attended the wedding, including former Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli. Other players present at the ceremony included Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Former Indian team fielding coach T. Dilip shared photos from the wedding on social media and congratulated the couple. In his post, he expressed happiness at seeing Kuldeep marry the love of his life and wished the newlyweds a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and blessings.
The couple, who are originally from Kanpur, had earlier gotten engaged in a private ceremony held in Lucknow on June 4, 2025. Vanshika completed her schooling in Kanpur before moving to Melbourne, Australia for higher studies. She currently works at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
The wedding was initially planned for November 2025 but had to be postponed due to the cricketing calendar and World Cup commitments.
Kuldeep was part of the Indian squad that lifted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 trophy after defeating New Zealand national cricket team in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the tournament, Kuldeep played one match against Pakistan national cricket team, where he took one wicket for 14 runs in three overs.
Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm chinaman bowler, has represented India in multiple formats of the game. So far, he has played 17 Test matches and taken 76 wickets at an average of 22.42. In One Day Internationals, he has claimed 194 wickets in 120 matches. In T20 Internationals, Kuldeep has taken 95 wickets in 54 matches. Additionally, he has played 98 matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL), picking up 102 wickets.
