Television actress Aishwarya Sakhuja, who is living with Type-1 diabetes, continues to spread awareness about the condition through social media. On Monday, she shared a video on Instagram highlighting the daily struggles of diabetes patients and praised their resilience.

Aishwarya wrote, “You have to think before eating anything. If you need to go out, you have to prepare in advance. If blood sugar drops too low, you must handle it immediately, and if it goes too high, the body feels exhausted. Sleep gets disturbed, mood swings occur, and there is a constant feeling of weakness.”

She added, “It feels like there is a constant effort to keep the body in balance. Yet, people battling diabetes wake up every morning and start their day with determination and courage.”

Talking about insulin, she said, “Insulin is a very important hormone for our body. It helps the body use energy properly. Managing it through injections, pumps, medications, sugar checks, diet, and constant care is not easy. It requires daily discipline, patience, courage, and mental strength. There are no holidays with diabetes.”

She further wrote that those managing the condition should appreciate themselves. “The world only sees your medicines, machines, or injections, but behind them is a strong individual. Managing diabetes is not a weakness, and taking insulin is not just a habit. It is the courage to manage yourself, live life, and stay strong every single day.”
