alaji Telefilms has officially denied allegations regarding unpaid dues linked to the film Bhooth Bangla. The production house, associated with producer Ekta Kapoor, stated that all payments to vendors and partners had already been cleared according to contractual agreements.
The controversy emerged after several media reports claimed that certain vendors connected to the film had not received payments amounting to nearly Rs 30 lakh. The issue quickly gained attention on social media, with users questioning the production company’s functioning.
Responding to the allegations, Balaji Telefilms released an official statement saying, “The reports circulating in the media and claims being made on social media are completely false and misleading. All payments to vendors and partners associated with the film have already been made as per contractual obligations. No dues are pending.”
The company further emphasized its professional working standards and long-standing relationships with collaborators.
“Balaji Telefilms Limited is a leading media organization that works with complete transparency and respect towards all its partners, vendors, and creative teams. We take our contractual commitments seriously, and all payments are processed within the agreed timelines,” the statement added.
The production house also clarified that claims about delayed or pending payments were baseless and did not reflect reality.
Bhooth Bangla was released last month and featured a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani and Mithila Palkar. The film was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan.
