Rohit Sharma once again won fans over with his humble gesture after a video of him interacting with a woman fan went viral ahead of the IPL 2026 clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Raipur.
Mumbai Indians shared a 42-second clip on their official X account on Saturday. In the video, Rohit Sharma can be seen walking towards the team bus when an excited woman fan rushes towards him for a selfie.
The fan looked overwhelmed after seeing the star batter and even tried to hug him while Rohit calmly greeted fans and shook hands with people around him. As she tried to click a selfie, her phone suddenly switched off due to a technical issue.
The woman, clearly nervous, told Rohit, “My phone got switched off.” Meanwhile, Rohit posed for a picture with a child and started moving towards the bus. Moments later, the fan returned with another phone and ran behind him saying, “Please wait, my phone had switched off.”
Rohit responded in a light-hearted manner, saying, “So what should I do now? Hurry up, madam.” The fan quickly apologized for the delay and finally managed to click a selfie with the former India captain. After getting the picture, she looked extremely happy while Rohit boarded the team bus.
Rohit Sharma recently returned from injury and made a strong comeback for Mumbai Indians. In the previous match against Lucknow Super Giants, he smashed 84 runs off just 44 balls. Fans will now be hoping for another explosive knock from him in Sunday’s big game against RCB.
