One Hour of Music Already Composed for Mahavatar Parshuram, Visuals Being Developed Around the Score, Says Sam CS

Chennai:

Music composer Sam C. S. has revealed that nearly one hour of music has already been completed for the highly anticipated animated film Mahavatar Parshuram, the next installment in the Mahavatar franchise.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Sam CS said that the film’s creative team is currently developing animation sequences based on the music that has already been composed.

“Almost an hour of the film’s music has been completed, and the team is creating the animation scenes in alignment with the score,” he said.

The composer also praised the film’s directors and production team, stating that everyone involved is working tirelessly to deliver an animated spectacle that surpasses the scale and quality of the franchise’s previous installment.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Mahavatar Parshuram is its unconventional production approach. Unlike the traditional filmmaking process, where music is composed after the visuals are completed, the creators are following a “music-first” strategy, with the soundtrack being developed before the animation.

According to Sam CS, the music is serving as the foundation for the film’s storytelling and emotional flow, guiding the creation of visuals rather than simply complementing them afterward. Such an approach is considered rare in Indian cinema, especially for large-scale animated productions.

The excitement surrounding the project has grown significantly following the commercial and critical success of Mahavatar Narasimha. Expectations are now high for the next chapter in the franchise.

Sources associated with the project indicate that Mahavatar Parshuram is being developed with international-level technical standards. More than 250 technicians from around the world, including experienced international composers and sound specialists, are reportedly contributing to the film’s music and production design.

The film is expected to feature grand orchestration, rich sound layering, and a soundtrack carefully synchronized with its visual storytelling. The production team is also reportedly introducing entirely new visual models and cutting-edge graphics technology, setting it apart from previous entries in the series.

With its ambitious creative vision, innovative music-driven production process, and global technical collaboration, Mahavatar Parshuram is emerging as one of the most eagerly awaited animated films in India.
