Israel–Iran War, Protests in Jammu & Kashmir Over Khamenei’s Death: 149 Passengers Return to Delhi and 217 to Chennai from Dubai; 80+ International Flights Cancelled from Delhi

New Delhi — Today marks the fourth day of the Israel–Iran war. For the fourth consecutive day, more than 80 international flights have been cancelled at Delhi Airport.

However, early this morning, an Air India flight (AI916D) landed in Delhi with 149 passengers and eight cabin crew members on board. Indian badminton star PV Sindhu, who had been stranded in Dubai, also returned to India on the same flight.

Late Monday night, three Emirates flights landed from Dubai: EK500 to Mumbai, EK526 to Hyderabad, EK568 to Bengaluru, and EK542 to Chennai. A total of 217 passengers and crew members arrived on these flights. Additionally, one flight from Abu Dhabi also landed in Delhi.

IndiGo is operating 10 special flights today from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Air India Express is resuming flights to Muscat. Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, along with Dubai-based Emirates and flydubai, has also resumed selected services. From Abu Dhabi Airport, 15 Etihad flights departed for destinations including Islamabad, Paris, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Cairo, and London.

In India, protests are ongoing over the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Shia community has been staging demonstrations. Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir remains shut for the second consecutive day. The Government of India has directed all states to remain alert against any provocative speeches.
