Mohsin Akhtar, the former husband of actress Urmila Matondkar, has embarked on a new chapter in his life by marrying Nidhaa Bhatt nearly two years after his separation from the actress. The Kashmir-based businessman and model shared glimpses from the wedding ceremony on social media, delighting fans with pictures from the special occasion.
Taking to Instagram, Mohsin posted a series of wedding photographs along with an emotional note expressing gratitude for finding love again. Reflecting on his journey, he wrote that pure intentions, honest love, patience, and faith had guided him to this new beginning.
In his heartfelt message, Mohsin thanked his wife Nidhaa Bhatt for bringing happiness and positivity into his life. He described her as a blessing and expressed appreciation for her sincerity and support.
The businessman also remembered a loved one named Mouji, saying he believed their blessings had played a role in his newfound happiness. He shared an emotional tribute, expressing how deeply he missed them and asking for continued prayers for his new journey.
Mohsin and Urmila tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2016, attended by close family members and friends. The couple reportedly met through renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra and remained married for several years before parting ways.
Reports of trouble in their marriage surfaced in 2024. Later that year, it was reported that Urmila had filed for divorce in a Mumbai court. According to media reports, the petition was filed in May 2024, and the separation was not a mutual decision. However, neither party publicly disclosed the reasons behind the split.
Interestingly, while Urmila no longer follows Mohsin on Instagram, she has retained several photographs featuring him on her profile. Their last public appearance together on social media dates back to Eid 2023, when the actress shared a picture with Mohsin and extended wishes for peace, harmony, love, kindness, and compassion.
Mohsin’s wedding announcement has garnered significant attention online, with fans and well-wishers congratulating the newlyweds as they begin their married life together.
